WIFT V-FEST Australia Call for Animated Entries for Women’s Film Festival
Women in Film and Television (WIFT) Australia are calling for final entries for their WIFT V-FEST short film and media competition which closes 25 January.
WIFT V-FEST is WIFT Australia’s online women’s film and media competition and virtual festival, aimed at celebrating, supporting, and elevating the work of women and gender diverse filmmakers and creatives both in front and behind the lens.
The competition welcomes short films or documentaries, web series, music videos, animation, and new media (360, VR, AR) with entries closing on the 25 January. There are many award categories including Best Student Film, Best Music Video, Best Animation, Best Indigenous Film, and a Diversity Award. WIFT especially encourage women and gender diverse practitioners from under-represented groups to submit their work.
The 3-Day online festival, supported by Screen Queensland as part of the V-Fest Initiative, will run from 26-28 March 2021 and will offer masterclasses, workshops, panels, keynotes and short film curation from our competition finalists. Each evening will screen a special women’s focused tent-pole feature film with Q&A.
