Aardman have officially announced a new outing for their internationally beloved duo Wallace & Gromit, set to premiere exclusively on Netflix in 2024 (except for the UK where it will make its debut on the BBC)
Gromit’s concern that Wallace has become over-dependent on his inventions proves justified, when Wallace invents a “smart gnome” that seems to develop a mind of its own…As events spiral out of control, it falls to Gromit to put aside his qualms and battle sinister forces – or Wallace may never be able to invent again!
The as-yet-untitled adventure, for which writing and storyboarding has already begun, will be directed by Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep creator Nick Park alongside Merlin Crossingham (2nd Unit Director, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Animation Director, Early Man) with a screenplay by Mark Burton (Madagascar, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Shaun the Sheep Movie) based on a story by Park and Burton. The film will be produced by Claire Jennings (Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Coraline).
