The Bigger Picture picks up Cartoon d’Or

The Bigger Picture, graduation film of Daisy Jacobs has picked up the prestigious Cartoon d’Or.
The award is handed out at Cartoon Forum the pitching and co-production forum, where as well as the Cartoon d’Or presentation ninety one series pitches were presented to nine hundred broadcasters and delegates attending the three day event.
The award has been handed out to promote european animation since 1991. Jacobs joins the previous nine UK winners including Nick Park, Joanna Quinn, Mark Baker and Daniel Greaves. The UK now boasts a total of ten winners of the pan european competition that promotes “the best of the best” of european animation with nominations pooled from affiliated european festival award winners. This years jurors were producer Philippe Delarue (Futurikon, France), director Jan Bultheel (Tondo Films, Belgium) and producer Paul Young (Cartoon Saloon, Ireland)
Jacobs also received €10,000 which will go towards funding her next project.
