VIEW Conference is excited to announce the participation of stop-motion filmmaker and pioneer Henry Selick at this year’s conference. In a special presentation the acclaimed director, who in 2010 was nominated for an Academy Award® for “Coraline,” lifts the lid on “Wendell & Wild,” his new animated feature for Netflix, in which two demons team up with a teenage punk rocker and abandon the Underworld for the Land of the Living. “Wendell & Wild” streams on Netflix from October 28, 2022.
Furthermore, VIEW Conference is delighted to confirm that Henry Selick is this year’s recipient of the coveted VIEW Visionary Award, which recognizes those visionaries who have consistently advanced the state of the art in their chosen field. This year’s award will be presented at VIEW Conference 2022 in October, in celebration of Selick’s remarkable career and groundbreaking contributions to the art and craft of stop-motion animation.
