What is the film about?

Just an ordinary day at an old mysterious Turkish country house where its residents have an extraordinary way of brewing tea.

A little background information...

Tavsan Kani (Rabbit Blood) is a 5-min animated dark-comedy short film, produced at SVA New York as my MFA thesis film. Story of the film comes from an old Turkish idiom and it is a literalization of that saying. It show the harmony between different social classes in Ottoman times. I wanted to emphasize how the social classes are still similar in modern Turkish society.

How was the film made?

I made the film during my MFA degree at SVA New York. Everything is designed and animated in Autodesk Maya, textured in Photoshop, then composited and edited in Nuke and After Effects.
