What is the film about?

Several patients are waiting in a doctor’s office to hear test results regarding their remaining lifetimes. However in most cases, the allotted time is not as long as they had hoped for.

A little background information...

On a long journey on train I asked myself a big question: what would I do if I only had a few more days or some hours left to live? Or even: What if I’d only have a few more seconds left?
That’s how I came up with the idea of putting characters in a room and confront them with these circumstances.

How was the film made?

I created „One Left“ during a period of 4 months. Not only was the schedule extremely tight, but also I did almost everything on my own. I only got help for the music and sound design, as well as for the voices.
Right after I finished the film in January 2020 COVID started spreading all over the planet. So even though over the past 2 years the film got selected at over 100 festivals and won 15 awards, I couldn’t attend a single festival in person, which was very unfortunate.
Nevertheless, I am very happy to finally have my film online now and hopefully you will appreciate it too.
