Peep Show, The Simpsons, Eraserhead
A little background information...
I made HEDGEHOG as my graduation film at the National Film and Television School – I wanted to make a film that took a comedic look at self-doubt and anxiety, something that I have had my fair share of experience with. I love the way that comedies like “Peep Show” portray their socially awkward characters, and I wanted to achieve something similar albeit with a more surreal twist.
How was the film made?
HEDGEHOG is a mixed-media film that uses three techniques – the sets are miniature and were shot live-action using macro lenses, the characters are CG, and the facial expressions are digitally hand-drawn.
