GRIFFURE / SCRATCH
What is the film about?
Separation, loneliness and a deadly smell tarnish the lives of the occupants of the forest.
What influenced it?
I like to use a cute atmosphere with a dark tone. It amplifies the dramatic side.
I’m also fascinated by children’s films with fantastic and horrific elements in them.
A little background information...
“GRIFFURE / SCRATCH” is inspired by the relationship with my twin brother.
My twin brother has been living in the United States for about fourteen years now and his departure from France has been a big failure in my heart as I had the sensation I would lose him.
The film speaks about our separation and the fear of loss.
How was the film made?
The film was made on Photoshop with a Cintiq graphic tablet.
In 2020, the pandemic period and the lockdown gave me the opportunity to work full time on my film for the first time. I also worked with two friends for the music and sound.
