What is the film about?

This short follows a group of cultists who stumble upon more than they bargained for.

It also serves as an origin story of the Rumpus logo.

What influenced it?

Although my style is all flat graphics and geometric shapes – i wanted to get a little bit of 70’s UK horror in here – like Psychomania or the Hammer House of Horror tv series.

A little background information...

This is the second in the series of Rumpus Studio idents.

The brief is to create a short animation anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds, on the vague theme of What a RUMPUS! and featuring the logo – with the idea to give the animators individual styles a moment in the spotlight.

How was the film made?

Animated in Adobe Animate and then rigorously After Effectsed up to give some lighting, shading, grading and a bit of body to the flat shapes.
