What is the film about?

A short 2D animated film exploring class and consumerism in today’s civilisation.
When the world is threatened by a global flood due to hit in December 2012, consumerism reigns supreme as companies compete to offer the best protection. What if most of the world can’t afford protection? What if only the wealthy few survive?

What influenced it?

I can’t say I was influenced by any particular film or artist throughout this production; I wanted it to be ‘mine’.
My influences in my general work vary from South Park to video games.

A little background information...

As the start of the film parodies the silly amount of advertising we’re hit with every day, I made it as a reaction to the huge amounts of passive advertising we all experience. Another issue that has spent the last few decades being choked to death is climate change. I wanted to explore them together in my film.

How was the film made?

100% animated in Flash CS4, with a little help from my old Wacom Bamboo, Audacity, and lots of high-glucose drinks.
