Shaun The Sheep: The Farmer’s Llamas – Airing Later This Year On BBC One
This isn’t exactly news to Skwigly readers as we reported it in October last year, but nonetheless fans of Shaun the Sheep will be delighted to see that further details have been released about the upcoming half hour Shaun the Sheep christmas special.
Shaun the Sheep: The Farmers Llamas will air on BBC One later this year and promises to introduce new characters to the world of Mossy Bottom Farm including a pack of mischievous llamas: Hector, Fernando and Raul.
Shaun the Sheep was originally created by Nick Park for the Wallace and Gromit short film A Close Shave and the TV series was later created and developed by Richard Starzak, the upcoming christmas special will be directed by Jay Grace, The Farmer’s Llamas continues Aardman’s heritage of creating festive specials for the BBC.
Here’s the Synopsis:
When the Farmer and Bitzer go to a Country Fair, Shaun steals away with them intent on causing mischief. Shaun spies an auction where he sees three exotic and very crafty Llamas going under the hammer. Instantly besotted by their fantastic pranks Shaun cleverly gets the unwitting Farmer to buy them.
Back at Mossy Bottom Farm, Shaun is delighted with his prank and convinces the Flock that the Llamas are just what they need to spice up their lives. At first everything’s great fun, but soon their new Llama room-mates get a bit too comfortable in their new home.
When things spiral out of control, Shaun is forced to take action to oust the intruders and save the farm.
We spoke to Richard Starzak and Mark Burton – directors of Shaun the Sheep: the Movie earlier in the year on the Skwigly Animation Podcast where they discussed the upcoming Farmers Llamas. you can listen to that below.
