Recruitment Open for Business Section of Animarkt Stop Motion Forum – Arrange Meetings With Leading Stop Motion Studios (Credit: Momakin)

ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum, organized by MOMAKIN in Lodz, invites everyone to participate in the business part of this year’s event – CAREER DAYS. This is a unique opportunity to meet directly with representatives of leading international studios associated with the stop motion animation industry, establish contacts and showcase portfolios. Applications can be sent until 23rd September 2024.

One of the key elements of ANIMARKT STOP MOTION FORUM, which will be held from 13-17.10.2024 in Lodz, Poland, is the BUSINESS section. This section is intended to foster networking and exchange of contacts among stop motion animation professionals. Its crucial part are CAREER DAYS. This is a unique opportunity for creators to present their achievements during 15-minute meetings with representatives of renowned animation studios from around the world. Participants have a chance to find work on stop motion projects.

Stop motion animation projects require hiring people with training and skills in an often very narrow specialty, such as building animation armatures. Creators spend years enhancing their talent. Career Days are just for them, so they can show the best of what they can do and get on the list of specialists of a particular studio.

This year, selected creators will be interviewed by studio representatives:

1. LAIKA (Portland, Oregon, USA) – 5 films nominated for Oscars and PGA awards for best animated feature.
2. PANGUR ANIMATION (Valencia, Spain) – provided services for well-known brands such as Warner, Sesame Street, Sony, Nickelodeon, was responsible for extensive children’s productions on YouTube, and produced several short films.
3. PASSION PICTURE (London, UK / Paris, France / New York, USA / Barcelona, Spain) – three-time Oscar-winning global production company.
4. SHADOWMACHINE (Los Angeles, California and Portland, Oregon, USA) – world-renowned, award-winning animation and production studio.
5. CORNELIUS (Barcelona, Spain) – a production company that develops and produces feature, documentary and animation projects. We support cinema that is engaged, personal and close to its time.

Applications can be sent until 23rd September 2024, selected creators will receive invitations with further instructions. The second condition is the purchase of accreditation for this year’s ANIMARKT.

The Business section also includes Animation Coffee – meetings introducing institutions, companies and solutions from the business environment (open to all accredited), Meet Your Partner – meetings between individuals/institutions/companies in the film animation industry (open to invited guests and partners), Match and Meet – online and offline meetings arranged individually by Animarkt participants via a platform provided during the event (open to all accredited).
