Parabella return with new seasonal spot for Belgian National Lottery
Following on from their enchanting and expertly-crafted 2015 Christmas campaign, Blinkink have drawn upon the talents of creative duo Parabella (Mikey Please and Dan Ojari) to collaborate once again with Belgian agency mortierbrigade in the creation of a new stop-motion animated spot for the Belgian National Lottery.
The piece boasts the same degree of brilliant set and character design as the original 2015 piece, this time around telling “the simple story of a hopeful snowman in search of a Christmas miracle” with animation by Andy Biddle and Dan Gill and featuring a musical score by Belgian artist Spencer the Rover.
Blink and Parabella surpassed our expectations with their magic and animation skills. The last film was fantastic, but this one is even better. I have nothing but respect for the Blinkink animators who spent 50 days in succession putting together this wonderfully appealing and heart- warming story, frame by frame in stop motion.
-Jens Mortier, creative director and partner of mortierbrigade
We loved returning to the world and characters from our 2015 Belgian Lottery film. It was important for us that we kept the same design and the playful attitude of the tinkering woodland animals, but we also wanted to make the world bigger, introduce some new characters, in the form of the family through the window. Our first glimpse into the world of humans.
