NightOwl – the Ultimate Creative Party – at OIAF 2019
The Ottawa International Animation Festival, Collective Arts Brewing and Downtown Rideau are proud to present NightOwl, an interactive party like no other, taking place during the heart of the festival on Saturday, September 28th.
Starting at 9 p.m. on Saturday evening, the Ottawa Art Gallery will host everything from live music, to virtual reality, and even offer a chance to see some of the short films from the OIAF.
For those who want to dance or catch some tunes, NightOwl has different options for everyone’s tastes. Bounce to the beat of DJ Pøptart’s house-nu disco hybrid mixes, feel electric with genre-defying duo Mark ii, dance to Klapshmock’s electro jazz fusion, or get nostalgic with DJ Skid Vicious.
Feeling a more chill vibe? Bring your sketchbook, grab a can of Collective Arts beer, and draw live models posing in intricate cosplay. Or, escape into a world of Virtual Reality and judge a few #OIAF19 VR experiences in the Official Competition for yourself. Take a break from the party and catch some of the short films you may have missed in the Official Competition as well, or take a walk through the OAG’s Firestone Collection and the Claude Cahun exhibit in the Spencerville Gallery.
Be sure not to miss the #OIAF19 limited edition Collective Arts Brewing cans, featuring the artwork of OIAF artists of past and present. The swanky Jackson Cafe will be serving up tasty snacks all night, and drinks will be pouring at Club Saw, AC Theatre, Alma Duncan, and Jackson.
Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, or free for all Animapass, Saturday Day Pass, and Weekend Pass Holders.
