New Trailer: The Pirates! Band Of Misfits
Two new trailers for the upcoming Aardman 3D stop-motion animation feature “The Pirates! Band of Misfits” have been released online today, giving eager audiences a proper glimpse of the studio’s first feature since 2006’s “Flushed Away”. The first was showcased exclusively on The Guardian’s website (http://www.guardian.co.uk/
It features a montage of action set to a ‘Drunken Sailor’ musical number while giving little away by way of plot.
The international trailer is more revealing in comparison, focusing more on the film’s punchy dialogue, set-pieces and the comedic timing Aardman is so reputed for.
The film is being directed by Peter Lord and Jeff Newitt with a cast led by Hugh Grant, Salma Hayek and Jeremy Piven. A worldwide theatrical release is scheduled for March-April 2012.
