Make some aNEmates at the new social event for animators in the North East!
Thursday 25th Febuary 2016
FREE at 6.30pm Onwards at The Forth Hotel in Newcastle.
aNEmates is a new bi-monthly social meet up aimed at building up the animation scene in the North East. The inaugural aNEmeeting, an informal meet up over drinks at The Forth Hotel will be taking place this Thursday the 25th, we hope to see lots of new and familiar faces coming together to share their passion and having some nerdy animation chat. In the near future we hope to welcome guests from the wider animation industry to Newcastle and the North East to talk and mingle with the talented individuals, academics and enthusiasts of the region.
James Taylor, Organiser of aNEmates said:
“Attending the Manchester Animation Festival last year I was amazed and hugely inspired by the sense of community I felt between studios, freelancers and other professionals in the region. I often find outside of work I’m met with blank stares when talking to non-animation folk or family about layout, graph editors, the amazing art direction in that cool new show etc and I realised I cant be the only one, the North East is full of amazing studios, world class agencies and talented freelancers and I wanted to bring them all together. I feel that aNEmates could be the start of building a great scene here with that same sense of community you feel in places like Manchester, Bristol and London.”
aNEmates is for anyone working in, studying or just enthusiastic about animation to meet and hang out. You keep up to date with events and aNEmeetups by joining them at on Facebook at facebook.com/aNEmates and by following them on Twitter @aNEmates
