Lupus gets random for Channel 4 for a second time
Award-winning production company Lupus Films have announced at the Animated Encounters Festival in Bristol that Phil Mulloy, Morten Morland and Milo Waterfield & Simon Swatman are among the big name signings for their second set of Animated Random Acts for Channel 4 .
This second season follows on from the success of the first slate of films transmitted this year, where Lupus were commissioned to produce 30 shorts from big names of the arts and animation world such as David Shrigley, Brothers McLeod and one half of Lemon Jelly, Fred Deakin.
The second set of 30 shorts commissioned by Channel 4’s Arts Commissioning Editor Tabitha Jackson will be a wondrous mix of animated innovation, fun and talent. As well as big names this cutting edge series will be a showcase of new graduate films and new talent. The series will be produced by Ruth Fielding and curated by Chris Shepherd.
Commenting on the new commission Chris said; “Random Acts is like a breath of fresh air, popping up, surprising and challenging the audience. We’re all over the moon to have a chance to show the diverse and wonderful world of animation once again on Channel 4.”
