Latest NFB Animation Producers Named

Julie Roy, Executive Producer (NFB French Animation Studio)
The National Film Board of Canada have announced new appointments at its animation studios in Montreal, Canada.
Following Michael Fukushima‘s recent appointment as Executive Producer of the NFB’s English Animation Studio in late 2013, today Julie Roy has been named as Executive Producer at the French Animation Studio. This follows a particularly successful tenure as Producer since 2007, with multi-award winning films including Bydlo (Dir. Patrick Bouchard), Edmond Was a Donkey (Dir. Franck Dion), Here and the Great Elsewhere (Dir. Michèle Lemieux) and Paula (Dir. Dominic Etienne Simard) with the latest short from legendary Estonian animators Priit and Olga Pärn Pilots on the Way Home presently nearing completion.
The NFB’s English Animation Studio have also expanded their pool of Producers appointing experimental filmmaker and former line producer of the NFB’s Hothouse scheme Maral Mohammadian and former Production manager and Editor (of films such as Patrick Doyon’s Sunday and Claire Blanchet’s The End of Pinky) Jelena Popović as animation producers.
