Jane Austen International Film Festival – Animation Category – Open for Submissions
Held in Jane Austen’s splendid Georgian city of Bath, England, the Jane Austen International Film Festival is a celebration of short-form independent filmmaking with ambitious programming, creating enriching screening experiences for filmmakers and film-goers alike.
The festivals aim is to provide not only a memorable cinematic experience for audiences but also an enriching festival event for independent filmmakers. We are looking for the most exciting and innovative storytelling in different genres, films that challenge and inspire audiences. Our festival is more than just a screening space, it is an opportunity to meet like-minded people and help bridge the gap between audiences and film creators.
The Film Festival dates are; 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th September at the Little Theatre Arthouse cinema in the centre of Bath, (the festival may be shortened due to Covid-19 as happened in 2020). Seats will be limited due to Covid restrictions, and face masks must be worn at all times. Guests are encouraged to wear Regency costume or elegant evening attire!
We have a strong animation category which we are very proud of. Last year Will Becher from Aardman Animations was on the judges pannel and he commented “what a diverse collection, very hard to choose between.”
