It’s not all ‘Doom and Gloom’ for Trunk
Trunk Animation (the studio that produced visuals for the Diamond Jubilee concert and whose work can be seen in the upcoming ‘Liar’s Autobiography’) recently got the call from Polydor to create a lyric video for the Rolling Stones.
Rok Predin and Sara Savelj rose to the challenge, and produced the video for the legendary wrinkly rocker’s upcoming single ‘Doom and Gloom’ from their latest album “Grrr.”
The work was created using a mixture of scans of loose brush strokes as well as footage of dripping paint, which were composited together using After Effects to create the simple yet stylish video.
The studio also used this technique to re-create the famous logo used by the Stones that was originally designed by John Pasche and has been synonymous with the band since 1971
The results of their work have been well received by the band, with lead singer Mick Jagger noting he ‘loved it’! And with over 2 million hits already on the Rolling Stones’ YouTube channel, the song and the video seem to be doing very well indeed!
