Produced by Igloo Animations & Digitoonz and backed by Screen Ireland, RTÉ, and Coimisiún na Meán, this 26-episode fantasy adventure (for ages 8+ but will attract older animation lovers too) is bursting with monsters, magic, and intergalactic mayhem. Created in Ireland, this groundbreaking series showcases the immense talent of the Irish animation industry while delivering engaging storytelling, rich visuals, and unforgettable characters. The series is being distributed by Monster Entertainment.
Meet the Heroes of HOLT
Roo, Umba, and Metric — three classmates from Planet Eire who barely know each other are thrown together when a freak accident hurls their spaceship off course during a school trip. They crash on Fomoire, a long-forgotten, ancient prison planet teeming with terrifying creatures, hidden secrets, and untold dangers.
When all hope seems lost, they meet Jeannie, a mysterious prism who grants them the extraordinary gift: the power to merge into a single, unstoppable super-being – HOLT! But there’s a catch… their fusion only lasts a few minutes before they split apart again. Not ideal when you’re fighting off terrifying monsters!
With a dark force called the Blight threatening to consume the universe, our unlikely heroes must survive Fomoire, uncover its hidden mysteries, and rally allies to save their home – because if they ever hope to return to Planet Eire, they must first help save the universe. No pressure!

I am genuinely so excited for this series to land on our channels. Holt embodies everything that makes a cracking sci-fi animation series – incredible characters, clever, engaging storytelling, whopper baddies and lots of heart. This is a wonderful nod to the animation all of us oldies grew up with and I know a brand new audience will be glued to the screen, rooting for Roo, Umba and Metric every step of their epic journey to get back home!!
