‘Flee’ and ‘Peel’ Among Top Annecy Prize Winners | Full List of 2021 Awards

The 2021 edition of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and the Mifa has just ended. A “battle” of an edition, as Mickaël Marin, CEO, described it, that brought together more than 8000 badge holders on-site for half of them or online. Despite the continuing unstable health situation it saw professionals from 96 countries and the local public finally celebrate this eagerly-awaited 60th anniversary, which was postponed from last year.

After consistently supporting a feature film presented at the WIP (Work in Progress) since 2014 at Annecy, the Gan Foundation Award for Distribution is from now on awarding a Feature Film in the Official Competition. Presented by esteemed actor André Dussollier, this prize was given to Haut et Court, the French distributor of Flee, to enable them to organise several specific promotional actions for the film’s release in cinema theatres.
