Ciné Lumière teams up with the Association Française du Cinéma d’Animation to celebrate the 23rd Fête du Cinéma d’Animation.

Adult and younger enthusiasts of the animation art in all its forms can enjoy the best animated films of recent years along with ultimate classics returning to the big screen.

This year, we beat the drum of the first ever publication of the Asterix character by René Goscinny with the screenings of Asterix the Gaul, The Twelve Tasks of Asterix and – also by Goscinny – Lucky Luke: the Daltons on the Loose.

Your favourite Peruvian bear will also be partying with us for a special Paddington Bear
celebration day with presents and excitement.

Adults can embark on the Mars Express to be propelled to the 23rd century or travel back to 1980 Abadan during the Gulf War with the soulful The Siren (including a recorded Q&A with Sepideh Farsi).

Younger ones will enjoy the mesmerising Sirocco & the Kingdom of Airstreams and the mysterious Nina & the Hedgehog’s Secret.

Discover some African animation with Lady Buckit & the Motley Mopsters, which reflects on Nigerian history and culture.

To top it all off, from 11 to 31 October, each screening at Ciné Lumière will be preceded by a short made by new animation talents from the best French animation schools.

Let’s get the party started!
