EXCLUSIVE Pencilmation creator Ross Bollinger reveals first images of upcoming TV series Gil Next Door
Ross Bollinger, creator of YouTube hit Pencilmation has released images of his upcoming TV series Gil Next Door, which is being produced independently off the back of his YouTube success.

The series centres around the wacky adventures Gil and Wolly, two frog brothers in a pet city called New Buddyberg. Bollinger is producing the series independently which will be complete by next year. The series currently has no broadcaster attached.

In the latest Animation One-To-One podcast Bollinger revealed that ad revenue from Pencilmation has allowed him financial and creative autonomy to independently produce the series which has a 90’s cartoon aesthetic.

Though the production has no broadcaster or streamer attached, Bollinger has revealed the series will be completed by 2022.
Without a channel of broadcaster Bollinger is freed from any creative restrictions or deadlines that might be imposed on him, a situation he humorously summed up.
I can basically do whatever I want, but there is no guarantee I will make any money back. I have total freedom to succeed as well as total freedom to fall flat on my face!
With close to 10 billion views of Pencilmation we know that Bollinger can command a fanbase and wait to see if this non typical way of producing an animated TV series is a success.
