BFX Festival 2024
The eleventh BFX Festival showcases Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole as the South West’s most up-and-coming creative hub for VFX, animation, and games.
This November, BFX Festival, one of the UK’s largest visual effects, animation, and games festivals, will mark its eleventh year with a jam-packed programme full of award-winning speakers, masterclasses, hands-on workshops, and intimate screenings.
Launched in 2012 to shine a light on the amazing work of the National Centre for Computer Animation at Bournemouth University, the 6-day festival is set to inspire budding young creatives and advance knowledge amongst practicing industry professionals and academics.
This year it will be hosted across two Bournemouth venues, the Hilton Bournemouth and BU’s Talbot Campus, featuring a Speaker Series of studios and people whose names you might not recognise, but who’s work you’ve almost certainly seen or played, as they’ve worked on some of the UK’s favourite films, television, games, and adverts.
Throughout the schedule are masterclasses, designed for those at either a beginner or intermediate level. During these sessions, you’ll learn from industry professionals and evolve your skills in various areas. Explore the full programme for all the details.
Individual tickets can be purchased, and family day tickets for Saturday are also available via the website. Discounted group tickets are available for 10 or more people to the Speaker Series.
