Encounters opens its 2017 Call for Entries
Encounters, the UK’s leading short film and animation festival based in Bristol, has this week opened the call for entries to its 2017 edition. Films completed from 2016 onward and less than 30 minutes (including credits) are eligible for this year’s competitive programmes. The festival accepts films from every genre with with its 23rd edition welcoming submissions for new categories Virtual Reality, Augumented Reality and 360 degree storytelling. Premiere status is not a prerequisite for eligibility.
I enjoyed the festival a lot and I must say that I have never watched my film together with such an open and engaging audience, it was really a pleasure. Bristol is amazing.

On top of offering prestigious awards and up to £10,000 in cash prizes to competing filmmakers, the Festival is also a gateway to the Oscars®, the BAFTAs, the European Film Awards and the Cartoon D’Or.
