DepicT! 2020 Shortlist Announced
This week has seen the announcement of the DepicT! 2020 shortlist!
A competitive strand within Bristol’s Encounters Festival, DepicT! challenges filmmakers to create an effective and engaging film told in 90 seconds or less.
Previously shortlisted filmmakers include Anton Dushkin, Aidan McAteer, Dane Winn, Steve Kirby, Trevor Hardy, Thomas Lucas, Paul Hill, Felix Massie, Joseph Pierce, Aidan McAteer, Matthew Walker, Joseph Melhuish, Sam Shaw and Mole Hill.
The eleven animated/mixed media micro-shorts amongst the DepicT! 2020 shortlist are:

This year DepicT! have also included a parallel, one-off competition Lockdown Depict 2020, featuring a shortlist of exceptional work created by filmmakers during quarantine, largely created for the event’s #shortitout call to action earlier in the year. This shortlist includes the animated/mixed media micro-shorts:

The prizewinning films will be awarded by the 2020 DepicT! jury at this year’s Encounters Festival award ceremony on Saturday October 3rd, with audiences able to cast their vote for the IMDbPro Audience Award.
