Dec 5: The Naughty List (Ben Mitchell)
From our very own Ben Mitchell comes a cautionary tale of unmotivated upper-management. Some witty dialogue and a few snarky observations on our current state of commercialism keep this film snapping right along. Better hope Santa has gotten his act together this year.
Some words from Mr. Mitchell:
Interesting moment, fact or point of inspiration from your production:
The last week of production involved roughly three hours of sleep a night and twenty-minutes per day to eat my one (ill-advised) meal of garlic bread pizza. I got it done on time but I’m pretty sure the whole process gave me temporary Nyctalopia.
Most memorable Christmas moment:
For a decade my Mother would host an open-house boxing day party at her Vicarage homestead in the quaint Cotswold community she lives in. One magical year a drunken, twenty-something Swedish lesbian couple crashed it, threw fistfuls of glitter on everyone and proceeded to make out for the entire evening in the most debauched manner imaginable for the benefit of all the attending villagers and doe-eyed, 14-year-old me. It was the greatest Christmas present a young lad could dream of.
At the top of the Christmas list:
This year I wish for nothing but familial harmony. And jewels. A great, heaping s**tload of jewels.
#AdventAnimation is a daily showcase of holiday themed animation. If you are working on something with a bit of holiday cheer that will be released sometime between 1 December and Christmas Eve, drop me a note and I will put it into consideration.
