Advent Animation 2014 – Dec 19: Christmas Gift (Brian Neong San)
So much thought goes into the gifts for those we love, and we hope that when they are received, those people will see the effort and expense as a symbol of the feelings we hold in our hearts for them.
Of course, it doesn’t always turn out that way… especially when the latest gadget is involved. Brian Neong San gives us a humorous holiday musing on thought that doesn’t count.
From Brian:
Interesting moment, fact, or point of inspiration from your production:
My sister wants the latest tablet for Christmas and she keeps mentioning it to everyone. That gave me the idea to create a little animation to share for Christmas. I still have no idea on what to give her for christmas though…
What special holiday treat would you bring to the Animator’s Holiday Potluck Party?
I would bring little cakes decorated to look like the Santa from my animation.
One favorite holiday memory from your childhood?
I remember once on Christmas day, I peeked and found out which one of my uncles was disguised as Santa. I was about five years old and that felt so powerful.
What’s one thing you are looking forward to in the new year?
I am so looking forward to create more and better animations of course.
#AdventAnimation is a daily showcase of holiday themed animation. If you are working on something with a touch of holiday cheer that will be released sometime between 1 December and Christmas Eve, drop me a note and I will put it into consideration.
