Trailer released for Netflix series ‘Dead End: Paranormal Park’
The first full trailer for Eisner-award-winning animator, writer and comics artist Hamish Steele‘s Dead End: Paranormal Park has been released this week. Set to premiere internationally on Netflix June 16th, the series is being made by London-based, BAFTA-nominated development and production studio Blink.
Based on Hamish Steele’s horror-comedy graphic novels DeadEndia and web short Dead End, Dead End: Para
normal Park follows the adventures of Barney (Zach Barack), Norma (Kody Kavitha) and magical-talking-dog Pugsley, as they balance their summer jobs at the local theme park haunted house while battling the totally real supernatural forces that dwell within it. Together with their guide to the underworld multiplane, a sardonic thousand-year-old demon named Courtney, they’ll face zombie mascots, demonic game show hosts, sleep-sucking witches and the scariest thing of all: their first crushes!
The graphic novel series, along with its prior Cartoon Hangover short film adaptation Dead End, have received critical acclaim for its handling and depiction of young adults across a broad spectrum of identities, such as transgender teenager Barney (played by Zach Barack) and the neurodiverse Norma (Kody Kavitha). Other announced cast members include Emily Osment as Courtney, Alex Brightman as Pugsley, Clinton Leupp (a.k.a. Miss Coco Peru) as Pauline Phoenix, Kenny Tran as Logan and Kathreen Khavari as Badyah.
Dead End: Paranormal Park will premiere globally on Netflix June 16th 2022.
