Comedy Festival Short Com Looking for Animated Comedy Shorts
The Short Com International Film Festival takes place in Edinburgh during the world’s largest cultural arts festival, the Edinburgh Fringe and International Festival in August, where world class talent and comedy eager audiences descend.
Founded by programmer Chris Aitken, Short Com has screened in major UK cities, from London, Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh and Glasgow as part of the Glasgow Short Film Festival and recently in Berlin. Now a permanent fixture in August in Edinburgh during the festival season.
After a two year hiatus, the festival is open once again for submissions for its 9th season; considered one of the most competitive short comedy film festival that carefully selects the funniest comedy short films that have the capacity to make audiences laugh. And this year they are looking for your animated comedy shorts.
Although submissions are open until 20th May 2020, the festival is now accepting submissions via FilmFreeway now; with Skwigly readers being eligible for a $5 discount by using the code Skwigly20. You can submit your film here.
