‘Circle Square’ from the Brothers McLeod to premiere Monday July 19th
Premiering on Milkshake! on Channel 5 in the UK, Monday 19 July at 7.45 am and with new episodes daily, Circle Square is a 40 x 7’ preschool comedy about Vanessa the purple dragon and her surprising neighbours (who include a yeti, a family of wizards and a pair of pine trees).
The series is all about neighbours on Circle Square Island helping each other out. Somebody, needs Vanessa’s help today, but who will it be …?
The cast includes Katy Brand, Kathryn Drysdale, Duaa Karim, and Shash Hira, and series writers include Emma Boucher, Alex Collier, Nicole Davis, Isabel Fay, Evgenia Golubeva, Dilpreet Kaur Walia and head writer Myles McLeod, with original music by Tom Angell.
The show is created by The Brothers McLeod, directed by Greg McLeod, executive produced by Erica Darby, Helen Brunsdon, Gary Timpson and Andrew Kavanagh, is a co-production with Kavaleer Productions, and was financed with support from Creative Europe, and the DCMS funded Young Audiences Content Fund which is managed by the BFI. 9 Story Media Group has acquired global distribution rights, and show is already pre-sold to YLE Finland, SVT Sweden and VRT Belgium.
