Winner of Annecy Festival Cristal in 2023 and of the César for Best Animated Film in 2024, ‘Chicken for Linda’ is now accessible worldwide for motion pictures industry members to watch on The Animation Showcase streaming platform, alongside a set of ‘making-of’s and featurettes.
Directed by Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach , and produced by Marc Irmer, Emmanuel-Alain Raynal and Pierre Baussaron, CHICKEN FOR LINDA is an animated film following Linda and her mother Paulette, in a quest to cook pepper chicken in the middle of a protest. Born out of the collaboration of French production companies Dolce Vita Films and Miyu Productions, the animated feature was released in theater earlier in 2024, under the banner of GKIDS, known for distributing some of the biggest animated successes in theaters, including Hayao Miyazaki’s animated features.

CHICKEN FOR LINDA has been honored by some of the most prestigious Awards and Festivals, making its world premiere at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, in the ACID selection. It has since been screened at Annecy Festival – where it won the Cristal for Best Feature. It premiered in the US at the ANIMATION IS FILM FESTIVAL in October 2023, where it won both the Audience and Jury Awards. The film won several international awards including the César Award for Best Animated Film and the Lumière Award for Best Animated Film.
