Chapman Entertainment Goes Into Administration
Target Entertainment, which distributes nearly 4,000 hours of content from the likes of Chapman Entertainment and Monster Animation, have been placed into administration by their parent company, Metrodome Group. Tony Nygate and Sarah Rayment, partners of BDO LLP, have been appointed joint administrators of the company.
“The board of Metrodome Group announces that it has taken the difficult decision that Metrodome can no longer continue to provide support to its loss-making subsidiary Target,” read a statement.
Chapman Entertainment are responsible for such brands as FiFi and the Flowertots, Little Charley Bear, Roary the Racing Car and Raa Raa the Noisy Lion.
Tony Nygate, BDO Business Restructuring Partner, said: “Sadly, the trading vehicle for these brands has suffered due to declining revenues from TV and product licensing and has ultimately failed.
“However the brands continue to have a very strong following, and we will be working with management to find ways to promote and maximise their value for the benefit of the company’s creditors.”
