Beakus Release New Work Of 2014
The Royal Observatory: Science
This has to rate as one of our favourite productions ever – an opportunity to visualise some pretty complicated scientific facts about our universe, using a healthy dose of irreverence, some Gallic flair, and a sprinkle of comic silliness. The three 4-minute films, designed and directed by Amaël Isnard, were commissioned by the Royal Observatory to draw in young kids interested in space-science, and old kids like us who like blowing our own minds. Enjoy! www.beakus.com/ROG-Science
Greenwich Planetarium: Maths
On a similar theme, Leo Bridle was commissioned to create 6 motion-graphic films about mathematics for key-stage 1 students. They will be projected on to the Planetarium’s domed roof during school lectures (I don’t remember that happening when I was at school…) to visually re-enforce the tutor’s message. Here we’ve cut a quick montage of our favourite scenes. www.beakus.com/maths-and-beyond
Beakus is currently buzzing with a wonderful collection of talented animators working on a production involving underwear, so we’re quite a happy bunch right now. The fruits of those labours will be shareable shortly.
