BAFTA wins for Pixar and the NFTS

This years British Academy Film and Television Awards have revealed their winners with the world of animation playing a big part. For the features Inside Out bagged Pixar a sixth win making the cerebral adventure the odds on favourite to win the Academy Award. In the animated short’s category Edmond by Nina Gantz won the National Film and Television School a third award in a row for the category with Sleeping With The Fishes winning in 2014 and The Bigger Picture winning last year.

Star Wars the Force Awakens took away the BAFTA for Visual Effects, the film has taken over $2 billion at the box office.

As ever here on Skwigly we did a poll to see which of the films our readership thought would win. With the exception of the shorts both the feature and the visual effects were predicted.
