BAFTA Children’s awards 2013: WINNERS
This year proved to be another great year for animation in the Children’s BAFTA awards. As always the best that the British film industry has to offer showed up to accept their awards and rub shoulders with fellow film makers at the annual award ceremony in London. The academy awarded the esteemed trophy to the best in Children’s media, including Aardman for the Pre-school animation category for Timmy Time and the wonderful Room on the Broom by Max Lang & Jan Lachauer.
This years presenter Jake Humphrey, had this to say about the prestigious role : “Presenting the British Academy Children’s Awards is a way for me to say thank you to children’s TV for the career it has given me, and I can’t wait! We all remember the shows we watched as children; for me it was Pigeon Street, Knightmare, and Live & Kicking. The fact these memories are so strong 25 years later is a reminder of the deep impact children’s programming has on the audience.”
