Awesome Inc Creates Animated Promo Campaign for FX’s ‘What We Do In the Shadows’

Atlanta-based animation studio Awesome Inc has produced a very bat-tastic promotional and packaging campaign for the sixth season of FX’s Emmy®-nominated comedy, What We Do In the Shadows. The campaign was recently released ahead of the final season of the popular series which is now streaming on Hulu in the US (UK release date TBC).
Known for delivering irreverent humor and 2D animation and motion design, Awesome Inc was tasked with creating a campaign that reflects the chaos and comedy of the live-action series’ infamous vampire roommates. Working closely with FX, the team explored a variety of visual concepts and techniques, landing on a darkly funny send off for the popular series that featured an epic bat swarm using hand drawn cel animation and sneaking in blink-and-you’ll-miss-it bat cameos of series characters Nadja, Laszlo and Nandor.
