Annecy 2019: Gobelins Trailers Focus on Japan
One of the treats to look forward to every year at Annecy are the daily short trailers that precede each screening. Each year Gobelins produce the short idents that play on each day of the festival; usually to a pre-defined theme. This year’s shorts were weird, wonderful, bold, and beautiful – just what you would expect from a celebration of Japanese culture and animation; which was the nation being celebrated this year.

The 60th Annecy Animation Festival will return from 15–20th June 2020, where animation from the African continent will be in the spotlight.
