Annecy 2017 Programme Unveiled
As June 12th draws ever closer – and with it another highly-anticipation edition of the Annecy International Festival of Animated Film – eager festivalgoers are able to get their most thorough look at what’s on offer at the 2017 edition so far with this week’s unveiling of the full programme, announced yesterday at a press conference held by Patrick Eveno, Mickaël Marin and Marcel Jean at the Cinémathèque française in Paris.
On top of the festival’s official selection that encompasses features in competition, shorts films, graduation films, TV films, commissioned films, features out of competition and special screening events, including premieres of Pixar’s Cars 3 and Illumination’s Despicable Me 3) of the festival has also unveiled its assortment of meetings and presentations available to attending delegates:

Also revealed are the traditional open-air screenings that will be held during the week, signing sessions with attending talents including Lee Unkrich and Guillermo Del Toro, as well as a rundown of the local exhibitions worth checking out.
This year will also be the first since to officially drop three existing ‘out of competition’ programmes in favour of two new sections Young Audience and Perspectives.
