Animaze 2016 – Award Winners
The third edition of Montreal’s Animaze International Animation Festival celebrated its conclusion last night at the Museum of Fine Arts of Montreal.
This year’s Jury consisted of thrice-Oscar nominated British/Canadian animator/producer Gerald Potterton (My Financial Career, Christmas Cracker, The Selfish Giant), French producer Anne Pages and award-winning animator Luc Chamberland. With Irish animation as the predominant theme of the 2016 edition of the festival, the four day event featured a variety of screenings, retrospectives and panels spanning shorts, student films, interactive projects and experimental works. Due to the volume of screened projects each award category was supplemented by a special mention.
