Animation Nights New York Announces 5th ANNY Best of Fest

Animation Nights New York, in partnership with Alamo on Demand, is proud to announce its 5th ANNY Best of Fest, which will run ONLINE, Saturday, Nov 13th through Saturday, Nov 20th.
Industry jurors selected 20 films as ANNY Best of Fest Winners from 174 in-competition films featured at our monthly screening events. Jurors included Cat Gulácsy (Calling All Talent, LLC), Margaret Dean (Skybound / Women in Animation), Delphine Selles-Alvarez (FIAF), Elliot Cowan (Independent Animator), James Belfer (Cartuna), Pilar Newton (Independent Animator), Wayne Gilbert (VanArts), Aagje Van Damme (Independent Animator), Chris Perkins (Animation for Adults), Olga Polukhina (IGDA NYC) and Tom Sito (University of Southern California). The ANNY Best of Fest Grand Prize Film Winner, AFA Award, VR, and Game Awards will be announced during festival week.
In addition to 5th ANNY Best of Fest animation screenings, ANNY is hosting industry events in its web-based virtual reality space (No headset is required. Platform is accessible on PC/Mac/Mobile.). Industry roundtable discussions and networking events will be hosted by our talent connect initiative, ANNY Exchange.
Films will be available Nov 13th-20th, 2021 on Alamo Drafthouse Cinema‘s VOD platform, Alamo On Demand. Animator Q&A’s and Industry Presentations will be hosted on our webXR and Zoom platforms. Guests can also join us for mixer events in the ANNY Virtual Events Space.
