Only a matter of months since the unprecedented success of it’s Virtual Animation Dingle Festival in March of this year, Animation Dingle, presented by Jam Media, begins to roll out the dates for next year’s event.

Animation Dingle made an incredibly successful transition to a virtual festival this year, with:

  • 163,191 minutes viewed | 2,720 hours
  • 88,701 minutes of live streaming viewed // 74,490 minutes of film viewed
  • Animation Dingle achieved 100% Customer Satisfaction

Professional and Student Animators joined Virtual Animation Dingle from Ireland, UK, USA, across Europe and beyond. With it’s impressive guest history, Animation Dingle promises to deliver once again for it’s 10th anniversary in 2022.

What’s more, Animation Dingle 2022 is now open for submissions! Information on submissions can be found on the festival website.

The festival was opened this year by Tánaiste and Vice President, Leo Varadkar, and had an impressive global guestlist including: Don Hall, (Raya And The Last Dragon, Moana); Madeline Sharfian (Burrow, Coco); Steven Clay Hunter (Hercules, Wall-e, Out); Allison Rutland (Toy Story 3, Onward) and directors, Peter Lord (Morph, Wallace & Gromit) and Tomm Moore (Wolfwalkers). There were studio contributions from Warner Media, Apple, Dreamworks, Milkshake, Nickelodeon, CBBC, The Walt Disney Company, RTÉjr and GFM Animation.

Tucked away in the most westerly point of Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way, lies Animation Dingle in Dingle Town, presented by Jam Media. No stranger to guests and celebrities, Dingle welcomes strangers to its shores.

Animators gather annually in Dingle town to be part of this unique, boutique festival.  Animation Dingle, run in partnership with Screen Ireland, prides itself on inclusivity; here you can find the best from the animation industry chatting in one of Dingle’s iconic pubs to upcoming student animators. With the assistance of Enterprise Ireland, guests travel by plane, train, bus, car and taxi to get there.
