Animated Women UK Announce 2 Autumn Workshops

AWUK are delighted to announce two workshops this autumn, based on sessions from the main Achieve programme. The sessions are stand alone “pay as you go” single workshops. The workshop leaders are Jan Armstrong and Marianne O’Connor, the funding is supported by Screenskills, and will take place at Escape Studios in Holborn.
Booking for the workshops will initially be open to members only and opened up to the wider industry if there are any spare tickets nearer the dates.

Managing People: Wednesday 23rd October 5:30 – 8:30
- Develop your confidence and effectiveness as a manager
- Be yourself with more skill – why should others follow you?
- How to clarify and manage expectations, what’s expected of you and what are the challenges?
- Understand what motivates yourself and other people
- Introduction to Situational Leadership and how to avoid some common pitfalls.
(This workshop is aimed at those with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry who are stepping into a management role, or with leadership experience. You will need to complete a small amount of pre-work before this workshop)

Presenting and Pitching: Thursday 28th November 5:30 – 8:30
This workshop is open to all levels of experience and requires a small amount of pre-work
- How to project confidence and gravitas when it matters
- Improve your impact and presence in a range of situations such as 1-1 conversations, bigger meetings, pitching ideas or presentations
- How to make a good first impression
- Learn how to flex and extend your communication style to meet the needs of your audience
- How to influence others so that you get what you need
