Animasyros Festival Launches Strategic Partnership with MIFA of the Annecy Festival

The Animasyros International Animation Festival, due to the extreme circumstances caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, is working towards adapting and expanding into the digital world to successfully run its 13th edition. More details on this year’s edition will be announced very soon.
Despite the adverse conditions we all globally face, the Market section of the Festival (Animasyros Agora) this year launches a new strategic partnership with MIFA – Animation du Monde, an integral part of the Annecy International Animation Festival.
Specifically, Agora organizes in collaboration with MIFA-Animation du Monde, a 4-day pitch coaching workshop, where participants in selected pitch projects are effectively prepared to present their work under development to members of the Market, the public as well as to an international committee of animation professionals at the Pitching Forum in Syros.
The winner of the Pitching Forum Agora Animasyros will be an official guest of the Annecy Festival 2021 and will present their project at MiFA pitches (in an audience of over 200 professionals), while previously he will have attended a special training workshop. The Animation du Monde workshop will be led by Géraldine Baché, Head of Projects, Mifa and Producer Corinne Destombes of the French animation studio Folimage.
The workshop will take place on September 23-26 in Syros during the Festival. The Pitching Forum will take place on September 26, and 27, and the winner of the best pitch will be announced at the closing ceremony of the Festival.
This collaboration as well as all the other activities organized by the Agora (round tables, master classes, meetings, animation workshops) give the opportunity to the international public that deals professionally with the art of animation, or simply loves this art, to expand their network, to promote their work, to meet with decision makers, to discover the international community and to see the hits of tomorrow.

- A brief description (Logline, Concept) and necessarily a Treatment
- Trailer desirable
- In case of absence of trailer then stills, sketches, moodboard are necessary for the evaluation of the project.
