AniJam at Encounters

Show Me The Animation partnered with Encounters Film Festival at this years festival to hold a 48hr AniJam.
48hrs to create an animation from start to finish? Sound Crazy? Well, we had 16 participants take up the creative challenge, giving us a total of 5 teams taking part.
Starting at 12 noon on Friday 21st September and finishing at 12 noon on Sunday 23rd September over the Encounters Festival weekend our teams worked long and hard to create their short animated films. The challenge was simple create an animated film between 15-90 seconds long based around the theme of JAM. Fuelled by jam filled treats the 5 teams got to work on their creations, each one taking a different interpretation of the theme Jam
After 48 long hours, last minute render issues and frantic races through the pouring Bristol rain all 5 teams successfully submitted their films on time for their first official screening at Encounters Short Film Festival on Sunday 23rd September and now they are available to view online.
You can see all five AniJam Films over on the Show Me The Animation website where the viewers can vote for their favourite AniJam film (http://www.showmetheanimation.com/index.php/anijam). An overall winner will be decided based on a jury decision and the audience vote. The winner will be announced at the forth coming Show Me The Animation night on the 30th of October at the Hen & Chicken Bristol
