Alan the Infinite | New animated short from Mikey Please and Dan Ojari released

// News

Today sees the release of a new animated short offering from Mikey Please and Dan Ojari, the incredible duo collectively behind such celebrated works as The Eagleman Stag, Slow Derek, Marilyn Myller, Goodness Newness Oldness Badness and the Netflix/Aardman holiday special Robin Robin. Produced by their own studio Parabella alongside Blink Industries, Alan the Infinite follows a 14 year old boy on an internship who has discovered infinity by accidentally breaking a mysterious floating atom.

Long before their Oscar-nominated film Robin Robin was even a twinkle in Netflix & Aardman’s eye, Mikey and Dan were hard at work cooking up Alan The Infinite, a ten-minute stop-motion epic following the exploits of Alan and his quest for stability in an ever-changing world.

A co-production between Blink Industries and Parabella Studio, the film was produced out of Mikey and Dan’s workshop/Studio in Hoxton with a box of balsa wood, a couple of laminators and a small team of expert craftspeople. It features the vocal talents of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared’s Baker Terry, comedian Rob Carter and Dan Ojari himself in the titular role. After being sat in cold internet storage for far too long, we’re delighted, at last, to share Alan The infinite.

Originally conceived as a 12-part mini-series, Alan the Infinite is written and directed by Mikey Please and Dan Ojari and is produced by Please and Ojari with Alex Holberton and Kev Harwood. The film features music by Ben Please and Beth Porter @ The Bookshop band and a cast including Baker Terry, Theodora van Der Beek, Jessica Rayner, Rob Carter and Elliot Dear, with Ojari starring as the titular Alan.
