9 Story Media Group buys Brown Bag Films

Irish animation studio Brown Bag Films have been purchased by Canadian animation studio and entertainment company 9 Story Media Group. The deal will see Brown Bag hire an additional 50 staff members and the studio will retain its 21 year old brand. Brown Bag Films are best known for their television work which includes Octonauts, Doc McStuffins, Bing Bunny and Henry Hugglemonster as well as being Oscar nominated on two occasions for their animated short films in for 2001 for Give Up Yer Aul Sins and in 2010 for Granny O’Grimm’s Sleeping Beauty.
9 Story president and CEO Vince Commisso said:

Brown Bag Films recently opened a studio in Manchester. Brown Bag co-founder and CEO Gaffney said

Established in 2002 9 Story Media are an animation and distribution company known for Almost Naked Animals and the most recent series (16 onwards) of Arthur.
