3D Wire announces dates for its 11th edition

The 3D Wire market will celebrate its 11th edition in Segovia between September 30th and October 6th, with the professional part being on October 3rd, 4th and 5th. This animation, video games and New Media conference event, has also presented its poster for this year, designed by the Valencian animation studio Silly Walks.
The registration period for short films, music videos, VR short films and animation promotional and advertising pieces runs until June 25th. In this call, works produced in any animation technique that have been made after January 1st 2018, are accepted.
Registration can be completed through the Shortfilmdepot and Festhome platforms or with the form that appears on the 3D Wire Market website.
The submitted works must have a maximum duration (including the introduction and credit titles) of 30 minutes for national, international and virtual reality films, while the limit will be 10 minutes for music videos and advertising or promotional pieces.
The selected works will be part of the annual short films catalog of the 3D Wire market, a complete selection of more than 200 works of the most recent animation with the contact data of each work to facilitate its distribution and sale. All these titles will be available to accredited professionals in the screening booths of the event to be watched, respecting and safeguarding the copyright.
Among the short films selected for the catalog, a selection, that will integrate 3D Wire Fest, the competitive part, will be made. This official section, divided into national and international, will be announced in September and during the contest will be valued by both a specialized jury and the public that will deliver various awards.
3D Wire Fest is a qualifying festival of the European Animation Awards and therefore the European and Spanish winning short films will be automatically pre-selected and will be able to participate in this prestigious European award.

Silly Walks authors of the poster of the 11th edition
The poster of this edition is a creation of Silly Walks, a 2D animation and visual development studio based in Valencia. A powerful image in blue and pink tones that aims to convey the essence of the event as a meeting point for the industry and that makes use of the iconic cubes, hallmark of the Castilian-Leonese event.
The studio has a solid track record started in 2013. Producers of pieces for television, films, video games and advertising, Silly Walks has an outstanding international prestige as witnessed by customers of the scope of Nickelodeon, 11 Bit Studios or Lorenzo Jovanotti; becoming nominated for the Quirino Awards for one of his most recent works: Lorenzo Live 2018 intro.

The aforementioned jury that will decide the 3D Wire Fest awards will be announced shortly, as well as the call for projects will be opened. Announcements that will complete the programming of this market that year after year, makes Segovia the meeting point of the national and international animation industry.
