2020 Kids Kino Industry Winners Announced
On Friday evening at the Kids Kino Industry the awards were presented to the best projects selected to be pitched at the forum. The winners has been announced during online Closing Ceremony.
Kids Kino Industry awards:
- Audiovisual Technology Center (Ceta) – Post Production Award worth PLN 60.000
- Pop Up Film Residency – 3-weeks residency in Bratislava
- M:brane – invitation to pitch at M:brane forum
- EAVE – free participation in Marketing Workshop
- Kids Kino.Lab – free participation in the next edition of the Kids Kino.Lab, script development programme
2020 Kids Kino Industry Winners
The Audiovisual Technology Center (Ceta) Post Production award worth PLN 60.000 went to Polish project “Let’s Go Grandpa!” produced by Karolina Galuba from Furia Film and written by Emil Płoszajski. The project was developed within the Kids Kino.Lab development programme.
“Let’s Go Grandpa” is a live-action feature. To get the family together, you sometimes need to run away from home. A film tells a story that could happen to (almost) any family.
The Pop Up Film Residency award – 3-weeks residency in Bratislava – was given to the Filipino project “Ninja from Manila” produced by Alemberg Ang and written by Miko Livello, Joma labayen and Mihk Vergara.
“Ninja from Manila” tells a story of the lengths the father goes through to make true his son’s wish to become a ninja warrior.
The M:brane award was awarded to “Lala – A Fairy’s Heart”. The project has been invited to pitch at M:brane forum.
“Lala – A Fairy’s Heart” is a fairy tale about friendship, courage, healing broken hearts, being lost and finding your way.
The free participation in EAVE Marketing Workshop went to Zofia Jaroszuk from Animoon, the producer of the “Flo the Seal” and “Toru Superfox”.
“Planet 7693” won the free participation in the next edition of the Kids Kino.Lab, script development programme.
The film tells a story of a boy who is trying to heal disrupted family relations with a help of mysterious friend.
Kids Kino Industry (former Warsaw Kids Film Forum) is an international forum organized in Poland devoted entirely to the topic of co-productions of films and TV series for young audience. The Kids Kino Industry provides you with a great opportunity to explore new and inspiring projects, meet the people behind them and increase your knowledge on a constantly developing market of productions for kids and young audience. The event usually takes place in Warsaw, Poland.
This year edition has been moved to the online world. 274 decision makers and participants – distributors, sales agents, broadcasters, VOD platforms, producers, scriptwriters, directors and students attended this year edition. 366 meetings confirmed. Among the decision makers there were Netflix, ViacomCBS, Indie Sales, ARRI Film Republic, Beta Film, Intramovies and many others.
